It was amazing to watch how quickly everyone got started today on their personal pages of this Wiki. The excitement level was very high. Hopefully we learn together on how to make this a place to challenge ourselves and each other.

It was super fun to notice that from 3:45 until about 9:30 last night at least one of the Wolfhounds was working on their Wiki page. It was also very cool to see that about 4 Wolfhounds added their thinking to the "A Place to Explore".

So, my Detroit Tigers lost to the Twins today to end a great season. It is disappointing, but there's always next year. You all should check out Andy's retelling of a pretty cool day he had. Eating a giant turkey leg?!?! Only one word for that ... Awesome.

Pennants snap above the boisterous crowd.
Smoke and the smell of cooked onions linger.
Kids punch their gloves and
pop around like water on a hot skillet.
“Score Cahd HearYAH! Score Cahd HearYAH!
The smell of peanuts floats through the air.
Foam flows down giant cups.
Dads shuffle through the crowd and
smile like Chesire cats.
“GETCHA LEMON Ice-a, GETCHA LEMON Ice-a!”
The perfume of grass hangs.
Sunrays bake the moist infield
We fold ourselves into seats and
periscope our necks like turtles.
“Goooood afternoon Red Sox fans. Today’s starting pitchers are ....”
Batting Practice
Twisting behind the sheltering screen
Coach rainbows pitches to Homerun King
The crack echoes around the park.
Wood meets leather and stops our hearts.
One after another he is hot,
Bending those rainbows into moonshots.
Slack-jawed we stare, wanting some more.
Already guessing he'll go 'oh' for 4.
Wheels Tap-dancing from the bag
He’s a taunting whirligig
Full stride, between bases
He’s a blurred locomotive
